Method

Wilt the kale
Heat the oven to 350\u00b0F. Warm the olive oil in a 10- or 12-inch oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and cook 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant, then add the kale in batches and cook until wilted.

Build the sauce
Stir in the tomato sauce, chickpeas, lemon juice, and 1/2 cup water. Bring to a simmer and nestle the feta planks into the sauce.

Bake and finish
Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake about 15 minutes, until the feta is soft and the sauce is hot. Finish with black pepper, red pepper flakes, parsley, a drizzle of olive oil, and lemon. Serve with warm pita or bread.
